Did you know...?

Life is full of curiosities. Quite often we don't see them because they are part of our everyday experiences. Other times, they shock us and leave us speechless because they are things we would never have imagined. We at Imaginarium invite you to think about these curiosities that help you realise the importance of saving resources. Did you know...?

  • Every year, thousands of trees are felled to make paper. But a single tonne of recycled paper can save up to 14 trees! And paper can be recycled as often as needed.
  • Although our planet is covered with water, most of it is salty and thousands of people do not have drinking water. To save water, think that a bath uses 150 litres, while a shower uses just 50!
  • Plastic is not biodegradable and it takes 400 years to disappear. Fortunately, it is recyclable and you can dispose of it in the corresponding bin. Just imagine: with the material of two 2-litre bottles you can make a ski jacket.
  • Recycling takes advantage not only of materials, but also a great deal of energy in manufacturing. With the energy saved by recycling an aluminium can, you could watch the television for 2 hours.
